As of 1 February 2025 the parishes of St Therese’s, Essendon and Our Lady of the Nativity, Essendon West will amalgamate to form the Parish of Our Lady & St Therese, Essendon. At the parish of Our Lady & St Therese, we offer a Sacramental Programme for children who live in our parish but do not attend a Catholic school.
The programme has three sessions, usually held at the parish with the onus being on parents to instruct their child at home in preparation for the Sacraments.
RE programme courses going ahead will depend on enrolment numbers. Once courses reach capacity (15 students) any further enquiries will be placed on a waitlist.
Children should undertake all the Sacraments of Initiation (beginning with Baptism and concluding with Confirmation) at the parish in which they live. If you live outside of the Parish of Our Lady & St Therese, Essendon you should seek Religious Education for your child at the parish in which you live.
